5、 球類運(yùn)動、游戲或表示三餐飯的名詞前不用任何冠詞。如：

　　He likes playing basketball and football. 他喜歡打籃球、踢足球。

　　After breakfast he goes to work. 早飯后他去上班。

　　The old are playing chess under the tree. 老人們在樹下下棋。

　　We are invited to dinner in her family this evening. 我們今晚應(yīng)邀去她的家吃飯。

　　6、 在大多數(shù)專有名詞、泛指的抽象名詞和物質(zhì)名詞前。如：

　　These planes are made in China. 這些飛機(jī)是中國制造的。

　　He is interested in science. 他對自然科學(xué)感興趣。

　　We get heat and light from the sun. 我們從太陽得到熱和光。

　　7、 前面已有人稱代詞、指示代詞或不定代詞作定語的名詞前不用任何冠詞。如：

　　My house is much bigger than his. 我家的房子比他的大多了。

　　This garden is newly built .這座花園是新建的。

　　Do you have any classes this afternoon? 今天下午你們有課嗎?

　　We must make good use of our time. 我們要充分利用時(shí)間。

　　8、 當(dāng)by與交通工具連用，表示一種方式時(shí)，中間無冠詞。如：

　　by train 乘火車 by boat 乘船 by spaceship 乘宇宙飛船

　　on foot 步行 by bus 乘公共汽車

　　9、 某些習(xí)語或固定詞組中的名詞前不用任何冠詞這種用法是約定束成的，我們只有遵從而無旁的選擇。

　　go to bed 睡覺 go to school 去上學(xué) in hospital 住院 in bed 在床上

　　at night 在夜間 for example 例如 place of interest 名勝 on show 展出

　　in surprise 驚奇地 from time to time不時(shí)地 in case 以防萬一 in fact 事實(shí)上

　　in memory of為紀(jì)念 keep pace with 跟上…步伐
