　　Over in the meadow， in the sand in the sun. Lived an old mother turtle and her little turtle one.

　　“Dig” said the mother.

　　“We dig”said the one.

　　So they dug all day in the sand in the sun.

　　穿過(guò)那片綠油油的草地。一片沙灘，陽(yáng)光明媚，金沙閃耀，住著一只海龜媽媽和它的海龜寶寶。“挖。”海龜媽媽說(shuō)。“我們挖。” 小海龜說(shuō)。所以它們一整天都在陽(yáng)光明媚的沙灘下挖著。

　　Over in the meadow， where the stream runs blue， lived an old mother fish and her little fishes two.

　　“Swim” said the mother.

　　“We swim” said the two.

　　So they swam all day where the stream runs blue.

　　穿過(guò)那片綠油油的草地，一條小溪，流水淙淙，清澈見底，住著金魚媽媽和它的兩只金魚寶寶。“游。”金魚媽媽說(shuō)。”我們游。”小金魚們說(shuō)。所以它們一整天都在清澈見底的淙淙小溪里游著。

　　Over in the meadow in a hole in a tree， lived an old mother owl and her little owls three.

　　“Tu-whoo” said the mother.

　　“Tu-whoo” said the three.

　　So they tu-whooed all day in a hole in a tree.

　　穿過(guò)那片綠油油的草地，一棵大樹，幽深茂密，樹洞溫馨，住著貓頭鷹媽媽和它的三只小貓頭鷹寶寶們。“嘿呼！” 貓頭鷹媽媽說(shuō)。“嘿呼！”小貓頭鷹們說(shuō)。所以它們一整天都在茂密大樹的溫馨樹洞里嚷著。

　　Over in the meadow by the old barn door， lived an old mother rat and her little ratties four.

　　“Gnaw” said the mother.

　　“We gnaw” said the four.

　　So they gnawed all day by the old barn door.

　　穿過(guò)那片綠油油的草地，一個(gè)谷倉(cāng)，簡(jiǎn)陋不堪，破破舊舊，住著老鼠媽媽和它的四只老鼠寶寶們。“啃”老鼠媽媽說(shuō)。“啃！”小老鼠們說(shuō)。所以它們一整天都在簡(jiǎn)陋不堪破舊的谷倉(cāng)門邊啃著。
